  • why choosing an independent agent ?
Choosing an independent agent offers considerable advantages, especially in terms of legal status and independent market position. Unlike insurance advisors, who act as representatives of one or more insurance companies and primarily broker their products, as a broker I am legally bound only to your interests. This means that I act as your authorised representative and must always select the best options for you, regardless of the interests of a specific insurance company. The legal obligation to provide advice to the best of my knowledge and belief and my personal liability also emphasise the responsibility I bear as a broker. These framework conditions create a basis of trust and ensure that your interests are prioritised. As an independent insurance agent, I offer you comprehensive, unbiased advice and support tailored to your personal situation and wishes, based on my legal and market independence.
  • Which services can you expect ?
Of course, my independence allows me to compare offers from different insurers and choose the best solution for you, but that's only half the story. My service for you goes far beyond analysing the market, because I support you in managing your contracts and if you ever have a claim, I will personally take care of the handling. My service is not just providing the insurance you sign up for, it's providing the service so you receive your refund or claim when you need it.
  • Who represents insure-Germany
Behind insure-Germany is me, Christian Keller, and I have been working in the insurance industry since I was 18 years old and have been able to get to know it from various perspectives. I started my career in the financial sector at a structural sales company in Hamburg, which I left as the youngest sales manager in the company's history to specialise in personal income protection. A completely new perspective for me was the move to an insurtech in Heidelberg, which I was able to support in providing overall advice to English-speaking customers. During this time, I realised for myself that the service concept that I wanted to offer and implement did not exist in structural sales or in the start-up world, and so the idea of insure-Germany was born. If you would like to find out more about me, my career or services, please visit LinkedIn or book an appointment with me.
  • Does the consultation cost you anything?
As an independent insurance broker, I am paid a commission that I receive from the insurance companies after successfully brokering an insurance contract. This commission is usually calculated as a percentage of the insurance premium. However, for certain products, especially long-term insurance contracts, e.g. pension products, there is a special rule: If the contract is cancelled prematurely within the first five years, I as a independent agent must repay the brokerage received to the insurer on a pro rata basis. This ensures that, as a broker, I act in the best interests of my customers and offer them suitable long-term solutions instead of just pursuing short-term deals. The consultation itself naturally takes some time, but this investment can pay off considerably in the long term.
